Study Abroad Scholarships

Study abroad experiences can be transformative and life-changing.  In today's interconnected and global world, international experiences can help set you apart and give valuable skills that will help you in the future.

There are many different scholarships available specifically for study abroad.

ASPIRE Office Scholarships

The ASPIRE Office has various scholarships which may be utilized for study abroad.  For more information, visit aspire.wvu.edu.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

The Gilman scholarship is designed to provide study abroad experiences for individuals with limited financial means. All students receiving a Federal Pell Grant and studying in one country for at least four consecutive weeks are eligible to apply. For more information, visit the Benjamin A. Eberly Academic Enrichment Program

Available to those majoring in Eberly College of Arts and Sciences programs, the Eberly Academic Enrichment Program offers funds to eligible students which can be used toward their study abroad experience.

Global Engagement Opportunity Grant (GEO)
The GEO Grant is administered through the WVU Office of Global Affairs and available to students participating in a WVU Exchange Program.  For more information, visit the Office of Global Affairs website.
