International Scholarships for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
West Virginia University strives to provide its students with an inclusive educational experience. We are pleased to offer international incoming freshmen students the opportunity to receive academic scholarships.
Scholarships and values are subject to change from year to year. Current scholarship information and values pertain to incoming freshmen for fall 2025 and are not retroactive to previous classes or currently enrolled students.
For scholarship consideration, students must be admitted to the appropriate campuses by the deadlines listed for each scholarship. Please review all scholarship information carefully. International students are considered for non-resident first-time freshman scholarships and first-time transfer scholarships.
If you receive full sponsorship from a government or corporation, the scholarship will not disburse directly to you. Instead, we will bill your sponsor a discounted tuition amount. Students receiving reduced rates through established international articulation agreements are not eligible for scholarship consideration.
