Students who are legal residents of Kentucky can contact the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) for information regarding grants and scholarships which can be utilized at WVU.

Prior recipients of Kentucky funds may see anticipated awards on their financial aid for upcoming academic years. Funding is not guaranteed until WVU receives notice of the award and eligibility requirements from Kentucky. The institution is normally notified around the beginning of each semester of eligibility (after the add/drop period). There may be additional steps that need completed with KHEAA order to secure funding.

Funds from Kentucky are not received in time to apply to students' bills for the semester. They are normally received approximately 6 to 8 weeks into the semester. Please plan accordingly.
